Nejprve provedli sv\u016fj &#8216;klasick\u00fd test letn\u00edch pneumatik&#8217;, zam\u011b\u0159en\u00fd na obvykl\u00e9 discipl\u00edny jako brzdn\u00e9 dr\u00e1hy, p\u0159ilnavost v zat\u00e1\u010dk\u00e1ch a bezpe\u010dnost p\u0159i aquaplaningu. Pot\u00e9 p\u0159edstavili druh\u00e9 hodnocen\u00ed zalo\u017een\u00e9 na klasick\u00e9m testu, ale s p\u0159idan\u00fdmi krit\u00e9rii udr\u017eitelnosti, jako je ekologie v\u00fdroby, p\u0159epravn\u00ed vzd\u00e1lenosti a energetick\u00e1 \u00fa\u010dinnost. Ov\u0161em modern\u00ed sm\u011bsi gum uk\u00e1zaly, \u017ee je mo\u017en\u00e9 optimalizovat efektivitu, ani\u017e by \u0159idi\u010di museli slevovat ze sv\u00fdch n\u00e1rok\u016f na brzdn\u00fd v\u00fdkon\u2014zejm\u00e9na na mokru, kde m\u016f\u017ee p\u00e1r metr\u016f ud\u011blat v\u0161echen rozd\u00edl. Test tak\u00e9 zd\u016fraznil rostouc\u00ed n\u00e1roky, kter\u00e9 t\u011b\u017ek\u00e9 elektrovozy kladou na pneumatiky.
